“Never Stop Running” came easily for me having known the muse of my story. Yes, this is based on a real women who went through regression hypnotherapy to recall her past lives. I transcribed over 160 hours of her regression sessions and learned everything that I could about them. Then, I took writer’s liberty and crafted a riveting female-driven psychological thriller around her regressions. Although this is based on a real person, it is fictional.
The writing process was indeed arduous. Not only did I transcribe 160 hours of regression tapes, I also researched all the historical facts. I also interviewed a regression hypnotherapist, a Catholic priest, and a Buddhist monk because I felt it was vital to represent the beliefs of each as authentic as possible. Once I completed the outline, I defined my characters and how they would intertwine. The dialogue was the easiest part having done so much research. I think my favourite part of the writing process was getting so much outstanding feedback in the beta reading process to really hone the script.
First, the screenplay is based off my novel “Never Stop Running” which debut as the #1 New Release on Amazon. Reviews for the book, the audible version, and now the script have been tremendous. Take a look at some of them.
“A story that feels finished. It’s wonderfully executed and thought-out. Would make an excellent feature.” Jury Comment
“Wow! A captivating opening to an amazing complex and dramatic story and then, BAM! The best ending dramatic twist I’ve read. Pure genius.” Jury Comment
“A story that will captivate you from the beginning to the end. Exceptionally written in terms of storytelling, dialogue, and non-verbal communication.”
As a writer, both screenplays, novels, and nonfiction, I write every day. My short screenplay, “The Creek Dweller in the Bayou” won five screenplay contests and is now in production with 311 Studios and On the Lot Productions. It is in the post editing stage, and I can’t wait to enter the film into contests and distribute it on Amazon Prime. Besides that, I am now working closing with 311 Studios developing several screenplays and honing them. Lastly, I am now entering more screenplay contests with my other scripts “The Keystroke Killer: Transcendence,” “A.D.A.M. The Beginning of Life.” and Secret Romances.” I also have three more children’s books coming out, one July 4th, 2021, and the others in August. Like “The Creek Dweller in the Bayou,” they too will become animated films with 311 Studios and On the Lot Productions.
