I can say that since I was a child, I have been a fan of cinema and travel around the world. I deeply enjoy getting to know different realities. I think the most amazing thing about cinema is being able to tell stories that allow us to reflect on different situations and never lose focus of our condition as human beings.
Invisible, emerges from the concern to investigate the different reactions that our memory can haven in front of traumatic events and how the brain can block all its memories in front of such reaction. From that moment on, what defines reality? To Andrés, the short film´s protagonist, traumas begin to be an unconscious part of his life, the instinct of what happened disturbs him, without being able to find a rational explanation. This starting point to build and relate a story calls my attention deeply. Developing and directing a script from the point of view of a man who, because of an extraordinary fact, keeps an important moment of his life blocked, gave me the freedom to direct without a logical order, focusing my attention on the emotional world that this man develops within the story.
These were very heavy days considering the complexity of the script. The process demanded a lot of dialogue and concentration between actor and director in order to be able to reflect in a real way the intensity that we wanted to express the events experienced by the protagonist of the story. as well as absolute connection with the entire team to take care of every detail that would help us to enhance the story. We also had the restrictions of working during the Pandemic period, so the team had to be absolutely reduced in order to respect all the sanitary norms and we all had to work with a strong will to ensure that these limitations did not harm the story. I would like to thank the entire team, especially Ignacio Verdugo (Producer), Italo Spotorno (Starring) and Nicolás Sepúlveda (Director of Photography).
People have told me it is a story that keeps the suspense very well, and they find the disturbance, created by this work, very interesting. I have noticed that a lot of people are not indifferent to the plot. Besides enjoying a very well worked photography. The comments have all been positive, many people can notice and enjoy the details of this work, as well as our growth as a production company.
You can expect a director who will always pursue to tell stories from a human and reflective point of view, without losing focus on narrative quality and entertainment. I look forward to making many feature films in an intense and creative way.
